Raingutter Regatta Pack Meeting - Oct. 15th

Scouts will have the opportunity to build and race their Raingutter Regatta Racer at the October 15th Pack Meeting. Scouts (with parents help) can build their own personal creation out of whatever materials they wish and race them down the raingutter tracks using wind power. Creativity can run wild with only limitations relating to size & use of wind propulsion.

Raingutter Regatta Rules: 

Materials:  Scouts may be creative and use any materials they wish to create their masterpiece.

Propulsion:  Regattas must be wind powered with no propulsion other than sails being allowed

Sizing: The only limitations are on the size of the scouts craft to allow it to sail in the track

• Hull: Max length of 7” and max width of 2-1/2

• Mast:  max height from deck of 7”

• Sail(s): ensure bottom of sails are at least 1” from the deck to clear the track

• Rudder and Keel:  max depth of 1 ½”

Den 4 is hosting a fun geocaching event in the Potrero open space.  Come join and learn about the fun of geocaching.  You will get our on a fun hike with your den as you gain some experience navigating and using your investigative skills to follow clues.  Lets see which dens can find the hidden treasure.
